As a cutting machine operator, you work primarily on computer-controlled machine tools (CNC) in various fields of application - and produce components of precise shape and size from various materials by turning, milling, drilling and grinding. You check whether the dimensions and surface quality of the workpieces meet the specifications. In the event of a malfunction, you look for the cause with the help of test methods and means and eliminate the problem. You also carry out maintenance and inspection tasks on the machines.
